We’re very excited to announce that we will be working together with Virtask to build state of the art adaptive A.I. technology in the coming years. We are working together to fulfill call five of the AAL initiative, the €2.4M DALIA project will be running for three years and has a great group of companies and institutions working on innovative technology. Please see www.dalia-aal.eu for more information.
Traditional AAL (Ambient Assited Living) systems require home sensing and actuating technology that still constitutes a financial barrier for wide-spread adoption. In contrast, DALIA will be implemented as an extensible secure server architecture that integrates with a broad spectrum of technology ranging from common consumer technology in older adult homes like TV sets, to moderately new consumer technology like smart phones, to still more expensive technology like home sensing. Secondly, older adults, as well as chronically overworked and overtaxed informal carers, need intuitive and low barrier user interfaces.
DALIA (Assistant for Daily Life Activities at Home) will provide an integrated home system that supports older adults as primary end-users, offers support to their informal carers as secondary end-users, and can be extended to interface with services of formal care and medical services.
